Talking Up The `bloke Thing'

COSMETIC and beauty treatment companies have recognised the increased interest in male beauty treatments by making their products unisex or developing ranges targeted solely at males.
Special aftershaves, deodorants and body washes have been around for a while, but the men's cosmetic and treatment ranges are just starting to take off.
Heritage Healers, an Australian owned and made range of products, isn't frilly or girly in its packaging, nor is the Vitaman range, another Australian success story, which is aimed directly at men.
For eye treatments Michelle Monaghan from Indulgence by Toni uses the oxygen facials from Heritage Healers.
This treatment uses pure, medical-grade oxygen to `brush' vitamins and minerals onto the face.
`It works on a cellular level pumping up the skin, particularly around the eyes,' Michelle says.
Collagen treatments by Heritage also help turn back the clock as the collagen infused in paper slowly seeps onto the skin and gets absorbed and plumps out the skin.
This treatment also helps to lighten the skin slightly and the results last for several weeks.
As with many treatments, the more you have the better and long-lasting the results.
Vitaman's range uses plant extracts in its products, which include body cleansers through to facial scrubs, AHA wrinkle smoother serum to hair styling products and travel packs.
Sea salt body scrub and a body moisturiser are also part of the range. ? Jenny Tarran
